Azerbaijani grand master beats former world champion at FIDE Grand Prix
Azerbaijani grand master Shahriyar Mammadyarov has outclassed former world champion Bulgarian Veselin Topalov in the 7th round of the FIDE Grand Prix Series in Beijing to make it to the top of the tournament`s table, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Mammadyarov has alrtfeady scored 4 points.
The masters event, which involves 12 grandmasters, will feature 11 rounds.
