Budapest postage stamps reflect Azerbaijani artist's paintings

Postage stamps with six paintings by young Azerbaijani artist Chingiz Mehbaliyev have been issued in Budapest, the Baku Creative Center said.
The stamps show Mehbaliyev's paintings "Composition of Mugham" and different views of the Hungarian capital. The stamps also include the paintings "Vagif Mustafazadeh", "Degradation", "Romantic Mugham", "Imadeddin Nasimi" and "Image of Siyavush".
The commemorative stamps have the inscription "ChingizART in Budapest-2013".
Mehbaliyev is the youngest Azerbaijani artist whose works are represented on the stamps of Hungary and Europe.
The idea of issuing stamps with Mehbaliyev's paintings emerged after his personal exhibition, "Coloring your life", held in Budapest in July 2013. The exhibition featured some 30 paintings and graphic works of the artist in the surrealism genre.
27-year old Mehbaliyev was born in Baku. His first solo exhibition was held in the Azerbaijani capital in 2007. The same year he took part and was the youngest artist at the international exhibition dedicated to the 800th anniversary of Persian poet and theologian Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi and organized by UNESCO.
In 2008 he participated at the international cartoon contest dedicated to Molla Nasraddin, organized by Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union, and an international art exhibition dedicated to International Women's Day in Turkey, organized by the international union SESAN (Serbest SANatcılar - Free Artworkers). Mehbaliyev was admitted to the Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union in 2008.
In 2010, he took part in an international exhibition in the city of Bartin, Turkey, and became a member of SESAN. In 2011, his work "Imadaddin Nasimi" was included in the catalog of artists of an international competition of CIS countries.
