Pakistani observer says no incidents seens in parliamentary election
The parliamentary election in Azerbaijan was transparent, observer from the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), chairman of the Pakistani Senate’s Defence Committee Mushahid Hussain Syed told Trend.
The election was organized at high level and was held in democratic conditions without incidents, according to the observer.
“Our delegation with six members visited about 25 polling stations in various parts of Baku,” he said. “No violations of law were recorded in these polling stations.”
“We are very satisfied with the voting process,” Hussain Syed added.
He pointed out that modern technologies were used during the parliamentary election in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan held its parliamentary election on NOvember 1. As many as 767 candidates ran for 125 seats in the country’s parliament. The election was monitored by 503 international observers from 40 organizations and over 66,000 local observers.
Following the election, many foreign observers, analysts and experts pointed out the transparency, openness and smooth voting process at the election, as well as high voter turnout.
