Azerbaijani combat aircrafts monitor frontline

Azerbaijan's combat aircrafts are flying over the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops amid the growing tension.
Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told Trend Agency on January 24 that the aircrafts monitor the situation along the contact line.
The situation on the contact line of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops has been escalating for the past four days. Armenian armed forces have violated the ceasefire status 380 times, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported earlier.
On January 24, the subversive-intelligence group of the Armenian armed forces once again attempted to cross the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops in the direction of Tartar region between the Gapanli and Seysulan settlements.
Azerbaijan's armed forces strongly suppressed the intelligent plot of the Armenian group. After a brief fierce firefight, the Armenian units were forced to retreat.
Azerbaijani servicemen also destroyed Armenia's military vehicle by preventing the Armenian armed forces' provocation on the frontline in Tovuz region.
Armenia occupied over 20 percent of Azerbaijan's internationally recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent regions, after laying territorial claims against its South Caucasus neighbor that had caused a lengthy war in the early 1990s.
The UN Security Council's four resolutions on Armenian withdrawal have not been enforced to this day.
Peace talks, mediated by Russia, France and the US and the OSCE Minsk Group are underway on the basis of a peaceful outline -called Madrid Principle -proposed by the Minsk Group co-chairs. The negotiations have been largely fruitless so far.
