US, Azerbaijan eye joint struggle to prevent illegal migration

Chief of the Azerbaijani State Migration Service Firudin Nabiyev met a US delegation led by Ambassador Richard Morningstar on August 5, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Speaking at the meeting, Nabiyev informed about the history of the country's migration service, its structures, fields of activity and the relevant legislation and its improvement, as well as combat against the illegal migration in the republic.
Morningstar, in turn, appraised the speed and tempo of economic growth in Azerbaijan, as well as restart of the Baku Regional Migration Department's migration office at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
The Ambassador also highly estimated the actions to combat against human trade in the country.
The sides had comprehensive exchange of views and discussed the prospects of joint struggle to prevent illegal migration.
