PACE co-rapporteurs to prepare report on Georgia soon

PACE Monitoring Committee within a month to prepare a report on Georgia, said co-rapporteurs on Georgia Martin Jensen and Boris Silevich at a press conference in Tbilisi on Thursday.
According to Jensen, this report is only informative and it will
show recommendations from the committee.
Jensen said that during the visit, it was noted that the pressure
exerted on the members of parliament in order to move to another
party. "All kinds of pressure must be excluded," he said.
The co-rapporteurs also cited progress over the return of the
deported Meskhetian Turks, but said that the process is still slow
and need to give it a new impetus.
Jensen and Silevich also expressed the hope that the parliamentary
majority and the minority will be able to agree on the law "On
general courts."
The co-rapporteurs on Georgia arrived in the country on Monday and
met with both the Prime Minister of Georgia and the members of the
minority and the majority of the parliament.
