Number of registered foreigners in social protection fund on the rise

The number of foreigners registered in the individual
registration system of State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan
Republic increased by 15.6 percent in the first nine months of
2013.
The report released by the State Social Protection Fund suggests
that the number of foreigners registered in the system stood at
16,297 people by the end of September.
The registered foreigners are from 99 countries of the world.
Turkey with 9498, Georgia with 1,762, Russia with 827, Iran with
532, China with 396, Great Britain and Northern Ireland with 240,
Uzbekistan with 185, Pakistan with 151, Germany with 143, Ukraine
with 139, Bosnia and Herzegovina with 129, Philippines with 123,
Italy with 111, Turkmenistan with 106, Kazakhstan with 107, USA
with 101, and Malaysia with 91 citizens are on top of the list.
As of January 21, 2013, men comprise 90.21 percent and women 9.79
percent of the foreigners having individual accounts in the state
social insurance.
Since January 2006, the process of enrollment compulsory state social insurance of foreigners who receive salaries from the sources in Azerbaijan, as well as income from which contributions are paid on compulsory social insurance, began in Azerbaijan.
