Women's Institute to appear in Kazakhstan

The first Women's Institute "Kazakh Қyzy" ("Kazakh girl") will open in Astana, Kazakhstan, spokesperson for the institute Zarina Ahmetzhanova told Trend.

She said the first Women's Institute of Cultural and Moral Education will open in Astana on September 18.

The institute aims to provide education, meeting the best Kazakh and European social and moral traditions, demonstrating Kazakhstan as the developed socio-economic and cultural country.

Parliamentary Vice-Speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva, Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov, public figures and others will attend the opening ceremony.

"Kazakh Қyzy" project is to promote the Kazakh culture and revive cultural norms and principles, customs and family traditions.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said earlier that much attention should be paid to education of girls "because they are the future wives and mothers".
