Lithuanian businessmen invited to Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) has invited Lithuanian businessmen to active cooperation.
At the business meeting held with the participation of Lithuanian companies’ representatives on May 5, AZPROMO Head Rufat Mammadov informed about favorable business and investment environment in the country.
He also spoke about the work done on the development of non-oil sector, the state support of entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan, measures implemented by AZPROMO to attract foreign investment to non-oil sector of the country’s economy.
Lithuanian Ambassador to Baku Valdas Lastauskas, in turn, highlighted the successful development of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Lithuania, the importance of bilateral meetings and business forums on establishment of new ties.
The sides exchanged views on opportunities of developing cooperation with representatives of Lithuanian companies operating in industrial, food, energy, construction and other fields, AzerTac state news agency reported.
The trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $25.1 million in January- June 2014.
