The Azerbaijani capital Baku will host the first international forum of young European scientists, titled "Challenges in the EU area", on May 20-25, Youth and Sports Ministry said on Saturday.
The main purpose of the forum, which will be organized by the Ministry, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (EURODOC), is to facilitate effective cooperation between young European scholars and joint research and to intensify the integration of Azerbaijani scholars into the European scientific community.
Sessions covering economic, social, technical, medical and other sciences will be held as part of the forum.
Some 200 young scientists from 35 EURODOC member states and 2 observer countries will take part in the event. Moreover, participation of well-known European scientists as experts is expected.
