The first international art exhibition titled "Crossroads of Cultures" was organized as part of the "GabalaFest", AzerNEWS reports citing Azertag.

The exhibition brings together more than 30 renowned art masters from Azerbaijan, China, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Turkiye, Turkmenistan, the United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan. The project promotes artistic dialogue between cultures, traditions, and generations through painting, sculpture, and photography.

The exposition presents works by renowned artists from various countries of the world, reflecting artistic mastery and cultural dialogue.

The exhibition features artists Akmal Nur, Alpisbay Kazgulov, Arif Aziz, Ayan Aziz Mammadova, Aylal Heydarova, Javlon Umarbekov, Jeff Robb, Cesar Mammadov, David Begbie, Elshad H. Aliyev, Jambul Natbayev, Jen Quansyu, Gahraman Gochmuradov, Leyla Aliyeva, Mazahir Rustamov, Nigar Baghirova, Omar Eldarov, Rafael Aliyev, Refik Aziz, Rashad Mehdiyev, Roya Hasan, Sakit Mammadov, Safranda Abdullayeva, Samadagha Jafarov, Shahla Gahramanli, Tamas Janos Molnar, Tolkyn Tabyisbek, Ulviyya Hamzayeva, Yongmo Jung, Yong Woo Lee, Jens Hesse, and Yuristanbek Shygaev.

With nature as one of the central themes of the exhibition, Leyla Aliyeva's black-and-white compositions stand out as a major highlight. In these works, exquisite bees with wings worked in sketch-like motifs are depicted on patterned leaves. These compositions, distinguished by their high decorativeness and rich ornaments, poetically reflect the beauty and fragility of nature.

In the “Chromatic Resonance” installation, inspired by Leyla Aliyeva's artistic language, visitors will participate in the creation of a large-scale collaborative artwork. The “Tree of Vision” will invite guests to share their hopes, dreams, and thoughts about the future of our planet, allowing the installation to organically take shape throughout the festival.

As part of the artistic program, a series of masterclasses will be organized under the guidance of internationally renowned artists from the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.

British artists Matt Lyon (doodle-art), Mr. Meana (graffiti), Tessa Newmark (miniature dioramas), and Lucy Smith (landscape postcards) will conduct creative masterclasses, while Russian sisters Maria and Aleksandra Suvorova co-create a live "Faces of Nations" portrait-carpet with festival guests.

Along with the international program, Azerbaijani art masters will conduct a series of masterclasses on ceramic painting, stained glass, ebru, clay modeling, and mixed media.

People's Artist of Uzbekistan Javlon Umarbekov will present masterclasses on landscape painting for both children and adults.

The exhibition is curated by Ruth Millington, an acclaimed British art historian and BBC/Sky Arts documentarian, who emphasized art's power to unite diverse cultures. Among the participants, artist Aylal Heydarova presents atmospheric pointillist landscapes and eco-friendly butterfly sculptures that blend artistic innovation with environmental protection.
