Gas output up in July: SOCAR

Azerbaijan's gas production increased in July by over 6 percent, according to official estimates.
In January-July, the country produced 10.284 billion cubic meters of gas. Gas production totaled 2.415bn cu m in January, 629.6 million cu m in February, 1.527bn cu m in March, 1.389bn cu m in April, 1.428bn cu m in May, 1.4bn cu m in June and 1.484bn in July, the State Statistics Committee (SSC) reported.
Last year, the resource-rich South Caucasus republic produced 25.7bn cu m of gas, 2.2 percent down from 2010. In December 2011 production made up 1.95bn cu m against 2.144bn cu m in November and 2.257bn in October, the highest in 2011.
Peak gas production by SOCAR was recorded in 2009 at 7.75bn cu m and by the country as a whole in 2010 when it stood at 26.349bn cu m.
