Azerbaijan, Nicaragua mull judicial cooperation

Azerbaijani and Nicaraguan officials discussed judicial cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev met Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Samuel Santos Lopez on July 10, AzerTag news agency reported.
During the meeting, Abdullayev noted the importance of expanding Azerbaijan-Nicaragua relations on all fronts, as well as cooperation in legal sphere.
He said Azerbaijan was one of the most rapidly developing countries in the world adding that the country attached great importance to cooperation with foreign countries.
Abdullayev also briefed the Nicaraguan official on the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, as well as the Court's international relations.
The chairman said the Constitutional Court adopted an important decision on June 30 under which the national laws are viewed interlinked with international laws.
Lopez, in turn, expressed satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan and noted that he held a number of important meetings in the country.
He especially praised his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Lopez noted the importance of cooperation between the judicial bodies of the two countries.
He highlighted favorable opportunities for expanding bilateral ties between the two countries in political, economic and other spheres.
Lopez said such reciprocal visits would contribute to the expansion of bilateral ties, and hailed ongoing rapid development process in Azerbaijan.
Lopez earlier met with, Azerbaijani president, foreign minister and deputy parliamentary speaker.
