Famous Azerbaijani band Dihaj has performed at Transkaukazja festival timed to the Day of Warsaw, Polish capital. The event presented fascinating music, dances and national cuisine of different nations.

"The festivals One Caucasus and Transkaukazja are related projects. Last year, we performed for the first time at One Caucasus, the promoters really enjoyed our performance. This year they invited us to two festivals at once. We have already performed at Transkaukazja. The audience warmly welcomed us," Diana Hajiyeva, the lead vocalist of the band, told local media.

The band will join One Caucasus festival to be held in Georgia on August 22-25. The festival was also be attended by Azerbaijani music bands Dede Baba and Free From Four.

Dihaj is an electronic music collective from Baku, formed in 2014. Initially a one-man-band Dihaj expanded as Anar (guitar, synth) and Ali (drums, percussion, fx) joined the project.

"We all come from completely different musical backgrounds, so our sound is quite eclectic. That’s why we’ve never really been interested in trying to pinpoint the genre of the music we play. Just play what seems right and leave the rest to the listeners, right?" says Diana Hajiyeva.

Dihaj broke through with their 2014 single "I Break Again" co-written by Diana and world famous jazz pianist Isfar Sarabski.

Their single "Complain" is the first track from their debut album "T.E.O.S" released in July 2017.

The band participated at the international festivals in the Netherlands, Lithuania and Georgia. The team was awarded the "Phoenix" in the nomination "Debut of the Year" with the song "Geceler kechir" at Caucausian Music Awards held in Georgia.

Ethereal guitar sequences, melancholic breathy vocals punctuated by progressive drum patterns create a peculiar sonic texture, which Dihaj describes as “immersive doom pop”.

Diana represented Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Skeletons". The song told the story of a strong woman who is passionate about a bad guy.
