By Trend
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Greece on December 7-8 this year, the Turkish presidential administration said in a message.
During his visit to Greece, Erdogan will hold a number of important meetings with the official representatives of the country, according to the message.
“Economic and political issues between Ankara and Athens will be discussed within the framework of the visit,” the message said.
Earlier, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Hakan Cavusoglu said that the visit is important in the history of the two countries as none of the Turkish presidents visited Greece over the past 65 years.
Turkey and Greece have a disagreement over Cyprus. For the last time, Turkish President Celal Bayar visited Athens in 1952.
