According to the World Bank's Doing Business rating, Kazakhstan ranked 49th out of a list of 185 countries, Kazakh Economy and Budget Planning Minister Erbolat Dosayev said at a governmental meeting on Tuesday, Trend news agency reported.

"Kazakhstan has held a high position in the Doing Business rating for years. According to the annually changing calculation methods this year, Kazakhstan ranked 49th enjoying a higher rating than China, which ranked 91st, Turkey (71st), Poland (55th), Russia (112th), Belarus (58th) and Kyrgyzstan (70th)," Dosayev said.

He said that in addition, this year Kazakhstan has entered the list of countries that have shown significant improvements in facilitating business maintenance last year.

"Kazakhstan rose 30 positions in the Register of Enterprises category (from 55th to 25th position) due to simplifying the procedure of creating enterprises and removal of a request for payment of minimum capital within three months after registration," Dosayev said.

The minister stated that there is a significant improvement in Kazakhstan's position in the Receiving Loans category (from 97th to 83rd position).

Dosayev also noted that the introduction of a single electronic window for export-import operations in foreign trade and pilot electronic declaration of goods for all customs procedures is planned for 2013.
