Uzbekistan awaits Chinese leader’s visit
The Foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and China recently discussed the practical aspects of preparation for the upcoming state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Tashkent.
The Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported that the talks were held
during the visit of a Chinese delegation to Tashkent headed by
Assistant Foreign Minister and Head of Protocol Department, Zhang
Kunshen . The Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Zhang Xiao also
participated at the meeting.
The parties noted that the upcoming visit is of great importance in
the light of the development of broad spectrum of bilateral
relations.
Uzbekistan and China actively develop interaction in oil, gas,
petrochemical, chemical and mining industries, in the spheres of
transport and logistics, the manufacturing industry,
telecommunication, production of electrical technology and modern
construction materials, as well as in a number of other spheres of
the economy.
Mutual trade turnover increased by almost 25 per cent and amounted
to $3.23 billion in 2012. The same dynamics of sustainable growth
remain in 2013.
