Hot weather to continue across Azerbaijan, temperatures hit 40°C
Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to have sunny weather on August 9, with southeasterly winds, AzerNEWS reports, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service.
Temperatures in Baku and Absheron will range from 22°C to 26°C at night and 34°C to 39°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is forecast at 756 mmHg, while relative humidity will be 70–75% at night and 45–50% during the day.
Most regions of Azerbaijan are expected to remain dry, although occasional rain is forecast in some mountainous areas during the daytime. Brief thunderstorms and hail are possible in some locations. Fog is also expected intermittently in mountainous areas during the night and morning.
Moderate easterly winds will prevail.
Temperatures across the regions are expected to reach 22°C to 27°C at night and 35°C to 39°C during the day, with some areas seeing temperatures of up to 40°C. In mountainous areas, temperatures will range from 15°C to 20°C at night and 25°C to 30°C during the day.
