Iran plans to establish joint group to monitor the implementation of the Geneva deal.

Iran's deputy of foreign minister for legal and international affairs Abbas Araqchi said on January 22 that the Foreign Ministry has sent separate letters to eight domestic organizations and ministries in connection with the Geneva deal, IRNA news agency reported.

Araqchi said the mentioned letters ask them to establish a unit in permanent and direct connection with the Foreign Ministry and appoint one of their top managers as the individual responsible for each unit.

The units will compose a commission to monitor the implementation of nuclear accord, according to Araqchi.

He went on to say that the Director General for International Political Affairs Hamid Baeedinejad will be secretary of the joint units.

Araqchi also said the joint commission will start working a month after implementation of the nuclear deal.

On January 20, Iran suspended 20-percent uranium enrichment as part of its nuclear deal inked with the six powers in Geneva on November 24, 2013. Iran also started the process to dilute and oxidize its 196-kg stockpile of 20-percent enriched uranium. The U.S. and EU eased sanctions over Iran partially as well. However, the next steps will be discussed in future.

Iranian parliament also formed special committee to monitor the proper implementation of the Geneva deal.

The committee is tasked with monitoring the implementation of the deal in order to prevent any violation from inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Araqchi further said Iran and the six countries- Russia, China, France, Britain, the U.S. and Germany may resume talks in February.

He said that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and European Union Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton, who represents the six countries involved in the negotiations with Iran, had to talk on the time, venue, level, and manner of the negotiations.

Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said representatives from Iran and six world powers have begun preparing a new round of talks over Iran's nuclear energy program at a coordination meeting in Geneva.

He said representatives started preparing another cycle of full-format negotiations, adding the atmosphere is businesslike.

Iran and six world powers reached an agreement over the unresolved issues regarding the implementation of the Geneva deal on January 12.

Under the agreement, six major powers agreed to give Iran access to $4.2 billion in blocked overseas revenues if it carries out the deal, which offers sanctions relief in exchange for steps to curb the Iranian nuclear program.
