Iran's President Hassan Rouhani says talking about Tehran's secret nuclear program is just an obvious lie.
"Iran will not stop its scientific activities in nuclear area," Rohani said at the unveiling ceremony of the latest achievements of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) in the health sector on May 11, Iranian media reported.
Rouhani went on to note that Tehran will never give into nuclear apartheid.
"Iran's nuclear energy program is peaceful and in the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty," he said.
Rouhani said Iran will enrich uranium up to 20 percent if needed, adding that the country is capable of doing so.
He further said Iran will never push for and has never pursued weapons of mass destruction.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani then officially unveiled the latest achievements of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) in the health sector.
Tubular centrifuges, ultraviolet monitoring system, national multipurpose gamma irradiation system were the three unveiled equipment. In April, Iran unveiled two other new machines in nuclear technology, namely a state-of-the-art control room for the Tehran Research Reactor plus an oxygen 18 production unit at Arak nuclear site.
