Uzbek Senate dismisses Shavkat Mirziyoyev as prime minister

The Senate, upper house of the Uzbek Parliament, dismissed the president-elect Shavkat Mirziyoyev as the country’s prime minister during a meeting on December 13.
Earlier, Chairman of the Senate Nigmatilla Yuldashev said he presented the draft resolution to dismiss Mirziyoyev as the prime minister, and urged the senators to vote.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was elected president of Uzbekistan on December 4.
