Azerbaijan-Georgia trade turnover ups

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to $1.35 billion, or 12.5 percent of total foreign trade turnover of Georgia in 2013, Georgian National Statistics Office reported.

The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 7.14 percent in 2013, while in 2012, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to $1.26 billion.

Azerbaijan is Georgia's second largest trading partner after Turkey.

Georgia's trade turnover with the latter amounted to $1.53 billion (14.2 percent). Ukraine ranks the third with $795.13 million share for the reporting period.

Georgia's total foreign trade turnover in 2013 amounted to $10.78 billion, increasing by 5.48 percent compared to 2012.

Azerbaijan mainly exports to Georgia petroleum, petroleum oils and gases, gypsum, anhydrite, plaster and other products, while the motor cars, live bovine animals, bars and rods of iron, cement are the most imported goods from Georgia to Azerbaijan.
