The Georgian Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance Sozar Subari left for Mauritania and Tunisia as an Adviser to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Trend news agency reported.

The High Commissioner's offices have been recently opened in Mauritania and Tunisia. As a result, the traditional meeting of the board members was planned to be held in these countries.

The Council has been staffed upon the territorial principle and consists of five members.

Subari represents Eastern Europe, some parts of South Asia and 15 countries of former USSR. His powers as an advisor to the High Commissioner were extended last year for other three years.
