Minister: Differences between Georgian president and PM could be 'negative signal' for investors

Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development George Kvirikashvili said on Friday that the disputes between the president and prime minister, often turning into the irony and cynicism, can become a negative signal to investors,Trend news agency reported.

"I do not think that Prime Minister is the instigator of the dispute," Kvirikashvili said. "If the former government had been more critical to itself, such a confrontation could be avoided."

"Unfortunately, there is no self-criticism today," he said. "The current situation is abnormal. I do not think that this was good for investors. I reiterate that our government and Prime Minister are not the initiators of this dispute."

He also stressed that the negative information, which intensively disseminated abroad, is not for the country's benefit.
