New rocket launch facilities delivered to IRGC
The new rocket launch facilities have been delivered to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on May 26. Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi attended the ceremony, official news website of the Iranian television Iribnews reported.
The new rocket launch facilities are designed for launching the "land -land" medium and long-range missiles.
Vahidi said that the design and production of rocket launch facilities are of strategic importance.
"Iran can provide itself in this sphere," he said. "The new rocket launch facilities are the result of joint production of Iran's Defense Ministry and IRGC."
Although the exact number of the rocket launch facilities is not specified, some Iranian media reported that there are about 20.
It should be stressed that Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces, Major General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan said that the troops will get the new anti-tank missiles, new radar systems and tactical vehicles.
