Azerbaijan interested in using Sweden's experience in migration field: envoy

Azerbaijan was interested in using Sweden's experience in migration field, Azerbaijani ambassador to Sweden Adish Mammadov said at a meeting with Minister for Migration and Asylum Policy of the country Tobias Billstrom.
He said that about 15 percent of the population of Sweden were migrants, and praised the country's experience in this field, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Mammadov informed the minister about the ongoing development processes in Azerbaijan, and pointed out that migrants from other countries come to the country for work as a result of it.
Minister Billstrom, in turn, said that the number of migrants in Sweden had been increasing year by year.
He noted that the government accepts these people as a labor force and provides them with the refugee status.
The minister highlighted that the Swedish government also carries out a number of humanitarian projects for the integration of these migrants to the local atmosphere as they were carriers of different cultures and traditions.
The minister noted Sweden was ready to share its experience in migration field with Azerbaijan.
Also, Mammadov interested with the problems of Azerbaijani migrants living in Sweden, and expressed the embassy's readiness to help the ministry in this regard.
