Azerbaijani violinist wins Grand Prix in Moscow

Azerbaijani violinist Jeyla Seyidova successfully performed at the 2nd edition of International Music Competition of Young Performers dedicated to Sergey Prokofiev, Trend Life reported.

The musician was awarded at the competition that took place in Moscow on May 21-29, 2016.

The geography of competition covered cities and regions of Russia, as well as South Korea, Britain, France, the CIS countries, including Azerbaijan.

Jeyla Seidova has been playing music since childhood. She is the winner and laureate of many international music competitions and festivals held in Italy, Greece and Belgium.

She studied at the secondary music school named after Bulbul. Then, she continued her education at Baku Music Academy named after Uzeir Hajibeyli. Currently, the violinist is the student of legendary Russian violinist Eduard Grach.

The musician has repeatedly performed together with Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra under the guidance of Teymur Goychayev.

Jeyla was awarded the prize of the Azerbaijani President. Her name is written in “Golden Book” of Azerbaijan's young talents.
