Turkmenistan seeks to create electronics industry

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has stressed the need to create an electronics industry in Turkmenistan at the recent meeting of the cabinet of ministers.
The Turkmen president voiced the need for his country to create its own electronics industry, highlighting the importance of technologies for Turkmenistan progressive development.
“Today, no sector of the economy can be imagined without the use of electronic equipment and high technologies, acquisition and development of which require huge investments,” Berdimuhamedov added.
The country's head also noted the need to take care and train all relevant qualified personnel in view of managing and developing the Turkmen industry.
Berdimuhamedov instructed all relevant officials to develop a program for the creation of new enterprises for the production of electronic equipment of various purposes, emphasizing on the training of specialists. He also gave instructions to present relevant proposals on the matter.
