Kazakhstan, Finland to mull bilateral negotiations

The state and prospects of Kazakh-Finnish relations will be mulled at a meeting of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Finland's President Sauli Niinistö, who is going to pay his first visit to Kazakhstan on April 17.

Spokesman of the Central Communications Service Altay Abibullayev said that the sides will also consider a wide range of regional and international issues, he said.

"The leaders of the two countries will hold bilateral negotiations and take part in a Kazakh-Finnish forum on the 'green' economy and modernization. The possibilities of introducing environment-friendly innovation technology from Finland into our economy will also be discussed," Abibullayev said.

He also said that on April 17-18, officials of both countries will take part in the Astana mining forum 'Minex Central Asia' to examine investment attractiveness of the mining sector and the development of mineral deposits in the region.
