Georgia, Canada to mull bilateral economic relations

Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze is to pay an official visit to Canada on April 17-19, First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani told journalists on Monday.

Zalkaliani said that relations with Canada are important to Georgia.

"This will be the first official visit of Maia Panjikidze to Canada. That country's support is very important for us in the context of our Atlantic integration. Bilateral economic relations and attraction of Canadian investments to Georgia will also be discussed during the meetings," Zalkaliani said.

During the visit, Panjikidze will meet with her Canadian counterpart, as well as representatives of both houses of the Canadian parliament.
