Russia’s S-400 missile system to be installed in Turkey since October 2019

Installation of Russia’s S-400 Triumf air defense missile system in Turkey will begin in October 2019, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said, Turkish media reported Oct. 25.
He said that the S-400 Triumf air defense missile system is necessary for Turkey and the Turkish people.
“The US and NATO have no reason to be concerned about the purchase and installation of the air defense system in Turkey,” said Akar.
In December 2017 in Ankara, Russian and Turkish representatives signed a loan agreement on the supply of S-400 Triumf air defense missile system. Turkey will pay a part of cost of this transaction, and the other part will be paid with the Russian defense loan.
