4x4 to hold off-road competition

Azerbaijan's oldest off-road Club, 4x4 will hold a competition in the Baku suburban areas on April 6.
"Spring Jeep Trial Novruz 2014" will be held on closed track with artificial and/or natural barriers, located on the rugged terrain divided into sections.
The competitors have to pass the route through certain gates on the road in the minimum time without exceeding the allotted time. Violation of laws would face penalty points and/or disqualification.
Competitions will be held in four main categories: "TP1 Light" category includes vehicles which do not have hard axle connection and downshifting with wheels up to 31 inches (78.74 cm), inclusive; "TP1" category is open to all vehicles having rigid connection between axes and downshifting with wheels up to 31 inches (78.74 cm), inclusive; "TP2" category includes design changes to vehicles with wheels up to 33 inches (83.82 cm), inclusive; and "TP3" category which includes prepared SUVs.

As a sports car club, 4x4 combines extensive experiences in holding amateur and professional off-roading competition to attract skilled competitors from around the world. Thus, the club will represent the country in Ladoga Trophy-raid 2014, to be held in Russia's Karelia and Leningrad Oblast from May 31 until June 8.
