US ambassador to Azerbaijan discusses 2013 presidential election with party leaders
U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Richard Morningstar has said he discussed next year's presidential elections in Azerbaijan at his meetings with the ruling and opposition parties, Trend news agency reported.
"I had meetings with opposition parties and with the ruling party of Azerbaijan this week," Morningstar told journalists on Wednesday. "We talked about the same things in both meetings. Next year will be an interesting year, because the election is coming up in Azerbaijan. Any election is the choice of the people of that country. It is not the business of any outside country to interfere."
