Number of visitors in Azerbaijan up 6 pct
Over 2.2 million foreign nationals came to Azerbaijan in 2011, or 6 percent over the previous year. The figure was 1.9 million in 2010.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, whereas five years ago the number of foreign citizens coming to Azerbaijan was below 1 million annually, interest in the country has increased in recent years.
