Azerbaijan holds air defense drills

The Air Defense Forces of Azerbaijan's army has launched exercises since August 13.
"The exercises are underway in accordance with a plan on combat training for 2014, approved by the Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov," the Defense Ministry said.
The exercises include actions to bring the defense forces to the state of high combat readiness, protecting important government and military facilities and connecting the ground forces during the offensive and defensive operations.
Also, live firing on targets simulating aerodynamic, cruise and ballistic missiles will be conducting during the drills.
