Azerbaijan Fashion Show 2018 is underway in Baku.The runway show is timed to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
The first day of the Azerbaijan Fashion Week was opened in Baku Flame Towers by the famous Kazakhstan designer Alex Chzhen, Trend Life reported.
The new collection of the Autumn-Winter 2018/19 season featured black and white strips and cell prints, flavored with motivational slogans "Never give up on your dreams ".
Mak Mari brand showcased all the compulsory components of the Georgian fashion school, including monochrome, asymmetry, oversize gowns and ragged jackets resembling a kimono. Especially interesting were prints made in the form of lace.
Kazakhstani designer Yerlan Zholdasbek brought to the eastern aesthetics to the runway. Bright prints, characteristic for the Central Asian region and free flying silhouettes, were underlined by decorations inspired by nature itself - brilliant pomegranate brooch and necklaces of peppers.
Azerbaijani designer Jemma Aleksander has found her style and continues to adhere to it in the framework of her new Autumn-Winter collection. Created by her stylish fit women's trouser suits are good in that they look appropriate on the podium, and in everyday life. They are appropriate both at a business meeting and at an evening reception. The jackets give the image of the forest of bohemianism and eccentricity.
Kazakhstani designer Di Siitova most likely was inspired by classical American westerns. After all, how else can you explain that unique mix between accessories borrowed from Indian tribes, for example, a crown of feathers on the head.
After a short break on the podium of Azerbaijan Fashion Week, two capsule collections of the famous Azerbaijani designer, honored art figure Fakhriya Khalafova were presented. The connecting link between them was the use of such material as silk. And if the first one was devoted to one of the most beautiful symbols of Azerbaijan, the popular motif in the ornament of fabrics-pomegranate, then the second collection was created from the unique Uzbek silk - ikata.
Next on the podium stepped models in the new collection of the young Azerbaijani brand Forte Fashion. The brand's creators have set themselves the goal of creating bright modern clothes in an affordable price range and are ready to even compete with the world's giants of the mass market presented in the local market.
The fashion collection from Ajour, Lush featured evening dresses and wedding dresses, abundant with a lot of embroideries and laces.
The creator of national brand Kengerli, famous photographer Jalal Kangarli, presented to the audience a very feminine collection, made in all sorts of shades of pink. Transparency of fabrics, a large amount of embroidery, feathers and crystals have become characteristic elements of his new collection.
After the end of the shows, guests and participants of Azerbaijan Fashion Week enjoyed after-party.
Mini Mi Kids, Lasha Jokhadze, Makhaim, Karim Tassi, GM Fashion Lab, Gulnaz Alkenova, Revoltant Hommes, Dinara Amrakhova and Parcha will present their collections on May 18.
