Azerbaijan, Georgia boost ties in field of emergency situations management

Azerbaijan`s Emergency Situations Minister, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov met Georgian Deputy Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri on January 29,AzerTag state news agency reported.

Heydarov noted that good-neighborhood and friendly ties between Azerbaijan and Georgia had strengthened yearly.

The minister pointed to prospects for development of cooperative relations between the two countries` relevant government authorities.

Heydarov highlighted the work done in the country in the field of emergency situations management, as well as the activities of institutions under the ministry.

Gomelauri stressed the necessity of developing cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries even further.

They also discussed prevention of emergency situations and disasters, and underlined the importance of the exchange of experience and joint workshops and trainings.

Gomelauri also visited the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
