Mobile centers of the ASAN service will start operating in Baku, and five cars with specially installed equipment have been purchased for that purpose, head of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov, said at a press conference on Saturday.

The first ASAN Service center, which successfully ensures unified and coordinated provision of services by state bodies, was established under the Agency in January.

Karimov said that through mobile centers citizens will be able to order services, however, they will be available for an additional fee. He added that this is a pilot project.

In the future, it is planned to increase the number of such vehicles, as well as introduce motorcycles which will deliver documents directly to citizens.

Special buses will be used to render services to residents of the regions which lack ASAN centers.

Two such buses have already been purchased. The buses were assembled in Turkey upon a special order of the Agency and differ from other vehicles of this category.

The energy spent in the working process will be provided by solar panels installed on the buses. A large monitor available inside the vehicle will provide information on fees, queues and various services.

Such a bus has all the conditions for 11 employees of ASAN service to provide services to citizens at the same time.

In addition, there is a comfortable tent where people can wait for their turn in rainy or sunny weather.

Also, in the trailer of the bus, there are recreational and catering facilities for ASAN service personnel.

Moreover, the ASAN service center in Sumgayit, some 30 km north of the capital Baku, will start operating on May 15 and provide services not only to residents of the city, but also to those living in the Absheron, Siyazan, Shabran and Khyzy regions.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev opened the Sumgayit branch of ASAN on May 3.

According to Karimov, to date, the first ASAN center in Baku has served nearly 70,000 people.

Three more ASAN centers will be opened in Baku this year, Karimov said.

ASAN center No.2 will be opened in Khatai district of Baku, and the center No.3 will be opened in Yasamal district in fall, while the No.4 center is expected to be opened in Sabunchi district of the city.

Also, the service center in the country's second largest city, Ganja, is to be opened in August and will serve the population of the nearby regions as well.

Currently, ASAN Service Center No.1, which covers three districts of Baku - Nasimi, Narimanov, and Binagadi, is located on Heydar Aliyev St. 36.

The first ASAN service center renders access to 25 services that are provided by nine state entities without extra expenses and loss of time. The center is open from 10:00 AM until 20:00 PM and until 17:00 PM on Sundays.

In addition, ASAN has 22 auxiliary services, including opening bank accounts, currency exchange, banking services for payments of state fees and penalties, real estate and car insurance, legal consultation, medical services, and translation services.
