An event called "Evening of Azerbaijan" was organized in Stuttgart, Germany on November 14.

Part of the "Promotion of Azerbaijan" project, the event was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with the support of the Azerbaijan Consulate

The evening featured music by Azerbaijani composers Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Jovdat Hajiyev, piano performances by People's Artist Farhad Badalbeyli and Murad Huseynov, and performance of the "Minguet Quartett" of the city of Cologne.

Honorary consul of Azerbaijan in Stuttgart Otto Hauzer said Azerbaijan's music and national traditions are invaluable treasures.

He also said that Azerbaijan was historically known as a country of tolerance.

Hauzer thanked the Foundation for organizing the event, and said such projects help the Foundation expand relations between countries and promote Azerbaijan in the world.

"Azerbaijan is distinguished by its tolerance. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation plays a significant role in keeping the environment of tolerance in the country," he said.

Azerbaijan's cuisine was also presented to the guests at the event.

A photo-exhibition entitled "Germans in Azerbaijan" was organized as part of the event, showcasing photos of Germans who have been living in Azerbaijan since 19th century.

The photos show the activity and lifestyle of thousands of Germans, including Siemens brothers, who have built a copper smelter in the Gadabay region of Azerbaijan, the largest and most modern copper smelter in Europe.

Publications on Azerbaijan's history and cultural heritage were also presented.

The foundation plans to hold a number of events to promote Azerbaijani culture in Germany.

Earlier, the Foundation held an evening of Azerbaijani culture in Munich in May, gathering about 900 guests.

The event presented the "Azerbaijan" photo-exhibition, books about Azerbaijan published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in German, a CD containing Azerbaijani music, and Azerbaijani sweets.

In October, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation also started a new project to further Azerbaijan's popularity in Italy.

Moreover, the foundation also held a number of other cultural events aimed at promoting Azerbaijan's culture earlier in France.
