Azerbaijan plans to improve the real estate management to ensure efficiency and transparency in the property system.

The country will introduce the information and communication technologies, advanced management mechanisms, modern regulatory framework and simplified procedures.

"The positive tends in country's economy indicates its readiness to the further modernization of the property sector of Azerbaijan," Kerem Hasanov, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Property Affairs, said.

He made the statement at an international conference "Development of key registers in land administration in the UNECE region" in Baku on October 29.

Azerbaijan has recently begun to use the principle of single window in the registration of property, including land, as well as in the technical inventory of real estate and the preparation of technical documents.

Registration through the single window is possible via three online services, one SMS- and 31 e-services

"Over the last decade, Azerbaijan has made huge reformation in all spheres of activities," the chairman said.

The government has also sanctioned work on implementing e-system of cadastral registration of land and created the e-cadastral base in Baku in this regard.

Earlier, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov at the parliamentary session stated the need for rebalancing the national economy in line with the new conditions for the long-term macroeconomic balance and stability. He necessitated creating basic conditions for the transition to the new economy and implementation of the new economic model in the current economic situation.

Rustamov noted that the global economic crisis has entered a qualitatively new stage in 2014, requiring new approaches.

The international conference dedicated to the role of sectored registries in the management of property was held in Baku on October 29-30.

The event organized by the State Committee for Property Affairs of Azerbaijan and the United Nations attends the representatives of 56 countries, including U.S., Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Russia and others.
