SOCAR upgrades Azerbaijan’s gas transportation infrastructure
The Azerigas Production Association of Azerbaijan's state energy company SOCAR constructed 9048.1 kilometres of gas pipelines in 2013 to enhance the capacity of the gas transportation infrastructure.
SOCAR reported that the 1774.7 kilometres long gas pipelines have also been repaired to ensure the safety and normal operation of the gas transportation infrastructure, SOCAR said.
Aside from that, 1,560 gas regulators and 1071 gas cabinets were installed the last year to increase the gas pressure.
Azerigas is engaged in the distribution and sale of gas to customers in Azerbaijan.
