Russian airline may begin flights to Ganja

Russia’s URAL Airlines has received permission to carry out flights to Azerbaijan, the Russian interdepartmental commission on the admission of carriers to perform international transportation reported on January 27.
The protocol says that the airline has received approval to
operate regular passenger flights en route Saint Petersburg-Ganja
four times per week.
In addition, the Commission will vote for implementation of the St.
Petersburg-Baku flights.
“Currently, "Russia" airline is allowed to carry out St. Petersburg-Baku flights with the frequency of flights seven times per week. Starting IATA’s summer schedule in 2017, the frequency of flights may increase to 10 times weekly. In this connection, a vote will be conducted. Air carriers competing for admission are "Ural Airlines", "NordStar" and "Nordavia" companies,” the document reads.
Ural Airlines is an airline based in Yekaterinburg, Russia operates scheduled and chartered domestic and international flights out of Koltsovo International Airport.
