Turkmenistan proposes Japan to participate in TAPI’s construction

Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has proposed the Japanese businessmen to consider the possibility of participation in the implementation of large-scale projects for developing the industrial sector of the country’s economy, as well as in the construction of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, said the message from Turkmen government.

IDB, Saudi Arabia, Japan interested in TAPI financing

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Saudi Fund for Development and the Japanese government have expressed interest in financing construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, the head of the TAPI Pipeline Company consortium Muhammetmyrat Amanov said, the Ministry of Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan reported May 25.

TAPI construction cost to exceed $7.5B

According to a preliminary feasibility study, the cost of the Turkmenistan- Afghanistan- Pakistan- India (TAPI) pipeline project is estimated to be around $7.6 billion, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India said referring to the Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
