Ethiopia offers Azeri businessmen to invest in its economy
Ethiopian government has offered Azerbaijani businessmen to invest in the country's economy.
"Today Azerbaijan is recognized in the world as an investor country, and the Ethiopian government invites business circles to take part in investment projects and strengthen economic and trade ties between the two countries," Ethiopian Parliament Speaker Abadula Gemada said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Egypt, also accredited to Ethiopia, Shahin Abdullayev, the Azerbaijani embassy told Trend news agency on Thursday.
Gemada noted the rich history of the two countries and stressed that his country is interested in development of cooperation at the level of governments and legislative bodies of the two countries.
Gemada also proposed to create an inter-parliamentary friendship group and arrange mutual visits of the chairs and members of the two parliaments.
Ambassador Abdullayev informed the Ethiopian speaker about the history of the Azerbaijani parliament, and also spoke about the political and economic development of the country as well as Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan.
The diplomat also stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary relations.
