Turkmenistan, UK to discuss co-op prospects in oil and gas field
Discussion of potential cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom in the oil and gas field will be held in London on February 20-22, an official Turkmen source said.
The Turkmen delegation is headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymurad Khodjamukhammedov.
At present, British companies such as Petrofac, Dragon Oil, Burren Energy, Gaffney, Cline & Associates, De La Rue and others operate at the Turkmen market.
London considers Turkmenistan, which has significant gas reserves, a key player in international energy markets.
In turn, leaders in the Central Asian country, referring to a prospective Turkmen natural gas supply to European markets, including the UK, said that it fully meets the plans of Turkmenistan to diversify its energy exports to world markets.
