Azerbaijan, Poland to mull new directions of cooperation

Azerbaijan and Poland will discuss new directions of cooperation in the economic sector.
The negotiations will be held during the 7th meeting of the Azerbaijani-Polish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Baku on December 15, the Polish embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend Agency.
The Polish delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński will visit Azerbaijan to participate at the meeting.
The meeting will discuss the expansion of mutual trade turnover
and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland. The Polish
side also intends to discuss the Polish investments in Azerbaijani
economy.
Co-chair of the commission from the Azerbaijani side is Energy
Minister Natig Aliyev, from the Polish side - Piechociński.
Poland recognized Azerbaijan's independence on December 27, 1991.
The diplomatic relations between the two countries were established
on February 21, 1992.
The trade turnover between them amounted to 62.9 million mantas in the first nine months of 2014.
Poland considers Azerbaijan not only as its potential partner for cooperation in the agricultural sector, but also as a transit country for the sale of agricultural products to Iran.
