Azerbaijan and Tajikistan plan to restore Dushanbe-Baku-Dushanbe direct flights till the end of May and perform it twice a week.
This was noted at a meeting between Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tajikistan Abbasali Hasanov and chairman of Tajik Assembly of Representatives Shukurjon Zuhurov, Trend Agency reported.
Zuhurov praised relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, and said there is a good legal framework for boosting the bilateral cooperation.
He also noted the activity of the Azerbaijan-Tajikistan Interparliamentary Friendship Group.
Hasanov, in turn, said Azerbaijan expects more fundamental position from Tajikistan on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on May 29, 1992. Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan increased by 2.8 times to $44 million in 2012.
