ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013 fair on livestock industry successful

The leading brands of livestock industry gathered in Istanbul Expo Center on 6-9 June under the roof of ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013, International Trade Fair for Livestock & Cattle Breeding Technologies, organized by HKF Trade Fairs.

The 10th edition of ANIMALIA ISTANBUL was officially opened following the opening speeches of Istanbul Food, Agriculture and Livestock Director Kasım Piral, Board Chairman of Cattle Breeders Association of Bursa Ismail Anıl and HKF Trade Fairs General Manager Bekir Çakıcı.

Organized exclusively for livestock industry in Istanbul, ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013 gathered Turkish and overseas direct and indirect exhibitors of 186 leading names in total that are operating in the field of bovine and ovine breeding and technologies and welcomed its visitors.

ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013, where companies unveiled their latest products and services, became the heart of livestock industry in Istanbul four days long. The event received 3,856 professional guests for four days. 3,429 of those were local and 427 were from the overseas.

B2B application introduced for the first time in ANIMALIA ISTANBUL, 2013 which ran from the 6 to 9 June and exhibitors and visitors had the opportunity to hold one-to-one meetings in a designated lounge located in the arena with the purpose of letting the exhibitors and visitor have an efficient tradeshow experience.

Several companies informed the audience during the seminars on sector related issues.

On the first day of the event, Saniter Gıda held a seminar with title of 'Nutritive Values and Analysis Parameters of Feeds'.

On the second day of the exhibition, TETA Teknik Tarım's 'Milking and Herd Management in Ovine Breeding' and Cemsan's 'Slaughterhouses in terms of Public Health and Food Safety in accordance with Law Number 5996' were held.

On the third day, June 8 the organizer HKF Trade Fairs' panel with the title of 'Breeder Associations, Supports and Clues' attracted great attention. Panelists were Agriculture Author Ali Ekber Yıldırım, Board Chairman of Or-Koop Ahmet Erturk, Board Member of Anadolu Romanov Sheep Breeders Association Prof. Dr. Ebru Emsen, Board Chairman of Mandate Breeders Association of Istanbul Sezai Ural, Board Chairman of Sheep and Goat Breeders Association of Izmir Ozer Turer and Technical Branch Expert of Cattle Breeders Association of Turkey Ibrahim Karakoyunlu. They answered the questions of the audience at the end of the panel.

At the same day, Bilim Saglık held a seminar with the title of 'Importance of Veterinary Laboratories in Diagnosis of Animal Diseases' as well.

Event attracts many international buyer groups

Numerous buyer groups coming from overseas were hosted at ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013 so that all involving parties have a fruitful tradeshow. These buyer groups consisting of company executives visited ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013 mainly coming from Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Azerbaijan.

Leading non-governmental organizations of livestock industry collectively visited the tradeshow

Following the collective visits of Cattle Breeders Association of Bursa and Balıkesir University Susurluk Vocational Collage on the first day of the event, Board Chairman of Sheep and Goat Breeders Association of Izmir, Mandate Breeders Association of Istanbul and Cattle Breeders Association of Çanakkale visited ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013 on the third day.

This year foreign press members followed ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013 closely. Agriculture and livestock weekly papers Krishak Jagat and Kheti Duniyan from India visited ANIMALIA ISTANBUL 2013. Apart from that the biggest agriculture and livestock magazine Boss Agro of Kazakhstan came to Istanbul for the event. Azerbaijan's most significant English-language paper AzerNews was also at the event.
