Int'l youth competition "Young rescuers" underway in Gabala

Gabala hosts the 4th international youth competition "Young rescuers", Trend Life reported.
The main purpose of the competition is to raise the level of emergency preparedness of teenagers and young schoolchildren and promote responsible approach to personal and public safety, form military and patriotic spirit of the young generation, develop and promote a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren.
The competition is attended by 6 teams from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey. The teams consist students aged 13-17.
The jury of the competition consists of experienced rescuers.
The competition program includes five stages. Through the competition, adolescents will show their skills in the following disciplines: fire relay race, assault course, search and rescue operation. In addition, competitors must show creativity and prepare a wall newspaper.
The competition will run until July 2.
