State Examination Center to hold recruitment exams for arts school directors and teachers
The Azerbaijan State Examination Center (SEC) will hold recruitment examinations on August 8 for the positions of director and deputy director at arts schools and centers operating under the Ministry of Culture, as well as for teaching positions at arts schools and centers under the Azerbaijan Culture Ministry and the Ministry of Culture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, AzerNEWS reports.
The examinations will be conducted in two sessions, at 10:00 and 16:00. Candidates must arrive at the examination venue at the time specified on their admission slip. Those arriving after 09:45 or 15:45, respectively, will not be allowed to enter the examination.
Registered candidates are required to print their admission slips from the SEC's official website. The document contains information on the examination date, venue, building and room number, start time, and the time candidates are expected to arrive. Applicants are also advised to review the Candidate Information Guide before the examination.
Candidates must present the original of their identity document together with their admission slip to gain entry to the examination.
The examination for director and deputy director positions will last three hours, while the examination for teaching positions will last two hours.
Candidates applying for director and deputy director posts will be assessed on their knowledge of relevant legislation, pedagogy and educational psychology, logical reasoning, and general knowledge. The examination will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions.
Applicants for teaching positions will be tested on their subject-specific knowledge in music, fine arts, or choreography, as well as on pedagogy and educational psychology, logical reasoning, and general knowledge. For candidates in the music category, the professional questions will be tailored to their specialization and will cover national and classical music. The teachers' examination will consist of 70 multiple-choice questions.
Each correct answer will be awarded one point, while incorrect answers will not affect the final score.
The examinations will be conducted electronically using computers at the SEC's Electronic Examination Building in Baku and at Secondary School No. 4 in Nakhchivan.
A total of 1,350 candidates have registered for the examinations, including 121 applicants for director and deputy director positions and 1,229 candidates for teaching posts.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations, 15 hall administrators, 89 invigilators, and 14 access control staff have been assigned.
The State Examination Center also noted that five visually impaired candidates will take part in the examinations. Special accommodations have been arranged to ensure their full participation, including the assignment of individual supervisors to assist with reading the questions, completing answer sheets, and other examination procedures.
